The Pashtoon: A Contested History

The book is a Nationalistic perspective. It concisely narrates stages of Pashtoon political and to some extent tribal behavior. British, Pakistan, Afghan Jihad, and variants of Pashtoon movements till the PTM is covered.
Writter has been linked to RAW OFFICIALY so one can peep through the obvious bias to iforms.one of Indian official policy approach and thinking to project Pashtoon sensibilities well reflected in the book.
The author has qualified grasps of present day Pashtoon political environment. The book sufficiently kicks out moot points and lot of stuff that can lead to added interest and critically discussion on the matter.

Pashtunistan – the land of the Pashtuns- straddling an area of more than 100,000 square miles, historically stretches from the Indus to the Hindu Kush. Today, this land and its people stand divided by the British era controversial Durand Line into Afghanistan and Pakistan. Consequently, the Pashtuns, despite being the largest Muslim tribal population in the world, are without a state of their own.
